Pretty much all laptops are crap for music as a natural consequence of their design requirement -- they need a flat shape, and good speakers generally require a more volumetric (3D) shape, especially for bass and the lower end of the audio spectrum.

Don't believe the hype.

I recently saw an advert for "Beats" or some kind of Dr. Dre-name-brand-marketing hooey claiming the sound from a laptop with those speakers is "what the artist wanted it to sound like". That made me burst out laughing, because any artist with half a brain knows that a laptop is pretty much the worst possible sound reproduction device known to man, besides cell phones that can play music on their built-in speakers.

Another example: most people couldn't even tell you what Dolby means/does (hint: more than one thing), and yet they'll parrot the name like it's an audio panacea. What's next, 5.1 surround for laptops? Please!

Really, you need to get a pair of nice speakers that plug into the laptop. You can't really order "upgraded" speakers just by asking -- it would require the engineers to totally redesign the laptop. If you can find a laptop with a "subwoofer", that's great, but I still find the concept laughable. IMO, there isn't enough free air space in a laptop case to make a quality subwoofer.

What about a good set of headphones (quality ones, not some Skullcandy or similar garbage)? They are a good way to hear the full range of sound, and highly portable.

Rexel Derwent is your best bet. They are incredible and can give you any look you work towards. Because they are slightly softer you can create excellent deep colours. Expensive but certainly worth it.
Happy Sketching!

Artistic satire has been part of Western Civilisation for thousands of years, from the Romans to the Punch Magazines in the 19th century and will continue to do so.
It is an artistic process to reflect current political and social trends, one of those trends being Islamic militants blowing the place up in the name of allah and his prophet.
Did Jews protest at Rubens 'The massacre of the innocents'? No because it is art as are the Cartoons.

If Islamic fascists are not civilised enough to take criticism, tough, they should go back to a country where there would feel more comfortable.
They got the privilege, yes the PRIVILEGE of living in a civilised nation like Denmark and Britain. They should start to appreciate that.
